Luminance, the market leading artificial intelligence platform for the legal profession, has won a prestigious National Technology Award for the second year running.

This year, the National Technology Awards, which celebrate excellence in the field of innovation across a variety of sectors, saw a record number of entries from across the public and private sectors. The independent panel chose Luminance as the most ‘Innovative Enterprise Product of the Year’ due to its proprietary machine learning technology and resulting impact on the legal profession. Luminance’s AI reads and understands legal documents much like the human brain, enhancing the work of legal teams across 150 organisations in 40 countries globally.

This year’s win follows the company’s success at the National Technology Awards in 2018, when Luminance was named ‘Startup Tech Company of the Year’. The Cambridge University-borne company was recognised for its achievement at a ceremony held on Thursday night.

Emily Foges, CEO of Luminance, commented, “Being named ‘Innovative Enterprise Product of the Year’ at the prestigious NTAs is hugely significant, as the award recognises the value that we are bringing to law firms and legal teams around the world. Our continued success at the NTAs reinforces just how ground-breaking our technology really is, and acknowledges the impressive progress we are making in our field ”.
