30 May 2023 | Luminance, the global leader for legal process automation, today announced that it has partnered with Data Solutions specialist firm, Aptitude Global (“Aptitude”), to deliver Luminance’s next-generation AI to Aptitude clients operating in regulated industries around the world.

Aptitude is a leading provider of modern Data solutions for organisations across the financial services, pharmaceutical, energy and legal industries. Aptitude bring together specialist domain expertise, Data and technology skills to identify innovative software solutions to solve key business challenges posed by their clients’ sector.

After a law firm client approached Aptitude with a large-scale document analysis project, consisting of over 30,000 wills and testaments, the Data Solutions specialist turned to Luminance’s AI to assist with their ingestion and analysis. Luminance’s public API was able to facilitate an integration with other applications already used by the client, ensuring data could be pushed to the platform for detailed review. Luminance’s AI uniquely combines supervised and unsupervised machine learning to read and understand legal documentation, working out-of-the-box to help Aptitude and its client instantly extract key datapoints, such as the names of testators and beneficiaries, dates, locations and clauses.

Having experienced first-hand the ability of Luminance’s AI to enhance large-scale review projects, Aptitude has partnered with Luminance to further develop the custom API integration to deliver AI-powered contract reviews, data ingestion and KYC onboarding services to its clients.
