25 March 2021- The world’s largest law firm, Dentons, is expanding its global roll-out of Luminance, with the ground-breaking AI technology now being deployed in the firm’s Malaysian office.

Luminance has a long-standing relationship with Dentons, with the firm’s European and Middle Eastern offices having adopted both Luminance’s document analysis tool ‘Diligence’ and Luminance’s eDiscovery software, to provide a full-service solution for all of their document review needs. Now, Malaysian firm, ‘Zain & Co’, are following in the footsteps of their counterparts in EMEA, bringing the power of Luminance’s AI to their document reviews.

Luminance uses both supervised and unsupervised machine learning to read and form an understanding of legal datasets, no matter how vast. A language-and-jurisdiction-agnostic technology that is currently being used in over 80 languages, Luminance will allow Zain & Co to work seamlessly with multilingual documents. Indeed, Luminance’s recent enhancement of its Japanese, Korean and Chinese machine learning capabilities will be particularly useful for Zain & Co based in Malaysia, who regularly work across cross-border legal matters.

Luminance provides lawyers with a holistic understanding of their documents that can be flexibly deployed across a wide array of legal use cases and practice areas. In line with the experiences of other Dentons offices, Zain & Co can expect to see time savings compred to manual review methods.

Eleanor Weaver, CEO at Luminance, comments: “Dentons are a forward-thinking firm that clearly see the value in adopting Luminance across their global practice for a variety of legal review needs. We are very pleased to see the firm’s Malaysian office now reaping the benefits of our technology too.”

Luminance is used by over 300 law firms and organisations worldwide, including all of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms and over one-fifth of the ‘Global Top 100’ law firms such as Bird & Bird, Holland & Knight and Slaughter & May.
