JAP drive business success by extending partnership with Luminance

21 September 2021 |

21 September 2021- Spanish law firm, ‘JAP’, is continuing to pave the way for innovative boutique law firms, reconfirming its commitment to Luminance’s market-leading AI platform with a two-year partnership deal after seeing a dramatic improvement to the scope and volume of projects the firm can pitch for with the assistance of technology.

JAP, who has been a contributor to the Chambers Global Real Estate guide in 2021 and whose partner has been recognised by the prestigious Chambers & Partners directory, have transformed their legal work since they first adopted Luminance in June 2020. As a firm of just three lawyers, the volume of documents they needed to review during the course of an real estate due diligence review was becoming unfeasible using manual review methods alone. After trying Luminance on a number of projects and seeing the power of AI to rapidly analyse vast datasets and drastically reduce review time, JAP’s lawyers have been able to take on more projects and even compete for larger, more complex work that was previously outside of their remit due to the time and resource required. This has allowed JAP to drive business growth and boost profitability.

On a recent real estate due diligence project, JAP estimated they were able to work 24 times faster using Luminance compared to conventional methods, a huge benefit for a small team that were previously limited to smaller-scale projects. Because of the results that JAP are seeing with an AI-assisted legal team, JAP are now using Luminance across every transaction.

José Antonio Pérez Breva, Founding Partner of JAP, comments: “In today’s tech-enhanced world, it is unimaginable to think of conducting legal work without the aid of sophisticated technology like Luminance. Since adopting the platform over a year ago, we have seen huge benefits in terms of efficiency, business growth and the value we deliver to our clients. As well as delivering instant time savings, the technology becomes more bespoke and powerful with continued use. Luminance’s technology is invaluable to our firm’s current and future success- we are very excited to extend our commitment to the platform.”

Luminance’s CEO, Eleanor Weaver, adds: “Luminance’s AI is taking the legal world by a storm and it is incredibly exciting to see firms of all sizes using the technology to completely transform their legal operations. With Luminance rapidly analysing data and surfacing key information and risks, JAP no longer have to waste time trawling through data. These time savings can convert into efficiency and business gains, enabling the team to take on a huge myriad of projects, including those that would have previously been outside their remit with manual review methods alone.”

Luminance is now used by lawyers in over 60 countries across the globe, including all of the ‘Big Four’ Accounting firms and over one fifth of the ‘Global Top 100’ law firms. Luminance was recently made a ‘Future Fifty’ company by Tech Nation.
