09 March 2023 | Luminance, the leading AI provider for legal process automation, will be joined by leading figures from multinational conglomerate, Koch Industries, global engineering and software provider, Yokogawa Corporation of America, and IT service management company, Hitachi Vantara, for a panel at this year’s flagship Legalweek 2023 conference in New York.

Led by Luminance’s CEO, Eleanor Lightbody, the panel will bring together different perspectives from across the in-house legal community and a variety of different verticals to discuss the growing importance of AI in helping businesses to automate legal processes, save cost and drive business growth. Those attending Legalweek can hear first-hand how legal process automation technology is becoming a critical component of in-house legal teams looking to maximise their department’s resources in the face of growing economic headwinds.

Ahead of Legalweek, Eleanor Lightbody, CEO of Luminance, said: “AI has become a must-have for any forward-thinking business looking to cope with the pressures caused by the current economic downturn, ever-changing regulatory frameworks and increasing geopolitical volatility. I am delighted that Luminance will be bringing the expert perspectives of some of our innovative and highly valued customers to Legalweek 2023.”

Laura Pickle, CIO and Discovery Director at Koch Industries, commented: “Luminance will be transformational for legal services, providing us with the opportunity to enhance our legal processes. Importantly, Luminance’s AI is automating the repeatable tasks and administration associated with generating contracts, freeing up our in-house legal team to focus on higher-value work that drives business growth.”

George Nino, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Yokogawa Corporation of America, added: “Legal teams are stretched and need to work smarter and faster on high-value work rather than getting bogged down by repetitive tasks. Luminance’s AI helps us achieve this by substantially decreasing the time spent on document review and allowing us to efficiently retrieve key information across our enterprise. AI is a great investment for legal departments typically viewed as cost centres.”

Jeannine Moran, Director of Legal and Compliance Operations at Hitachi Vantara, noted: “Luminance is adding flexibility and streamlining our workflows. With Luminance’s AI and its self-service contract generator, we can eliminate bottlenecks in the contracting process and accelerate our time to signature. This has allowed us to keep more work in-house, utilise our legal team’s institutional knowledge of the business and be more selective in the projects we send to external counsel.”

Luminance will be hosting several private events in NYC during Legalweek 2023. To attend or schedule a meeting with a Luminance representative, email [email protected].
