Tadmor & Co. Yuval Levy & Co become the first Israeli law firm to adopt Luminance’s artificial intelligence

19 June 2018 |

Luminance, the artificial intelligence platform for the legal profession, today announces that Tadmor & Co. Yuval Levy & Co (‘Tadmor Levy’) has become the first Israeli law firm to adopt its market-leading technology. The announcement marks the twenty-sixth country to deploy Luminance’s machine learning platform in 18 months.

Tadmor Levy, one of Israel’s premier law firms, selected Luminance to streamline the due diligence processes for domestic and international M&A transactions. Following an initial demonstration of the platform, the firm immediately saw the benefits that Luminance could deliver across its consolidated M&A practice and chose to permanently adopt the technology. In particular, Tadmor Levy valued Luminance’s inbuilt collaboration tools, enabling them to easily assign tasks and monitor progress across the 100 lawyers at the firm.

“Innovation in the legal sector is changing the way law firms conduct fundamental practices such as due diligence, and we are pleased to have found a technology solution for Tadmor Levy,” said Ziv Wassercug, Partner at Tadmor Levy. “Luminance transforms the contract review process, allowing the data room to find significant information and highlighting potential anomalies within a vast volume of documents. Ultimately, adopting Luminance will help us maintain the high standards that our clients expect.”

“We are delighted to welcome Tadmor Levy as the first Israeli law firm to adopt Luminance,” added Emily Foges, CEO of Luminance. “True machine learning is language agnostic, and our expansion into another country is testament to the power of this new generation of legal technology that learns in a similar way to the human brain. We are excited to see the insight and efficiency gains that Luminance can deliver in a different language and jurisdiction.”

Developed by mathematicians from the University of Cambridge, Luminance harnesses proprietary machine learning algorithms to read and understand legal documents in a similar way to humans, coping with volumes and working at speeds that no human can match. Trained by legal experts, Luminance can highlight anomalies among large groups of documents allowing lawyers to prioritise their work.

Luminance has over 80 customers in 26 countries and five continents since launching in September 2016, including ten of The Global 100 law firms. The company was recently awarded ‘Startup Tech Company of the Year’ at the prestigious National Technology Awards, recognising Luminance’s exceptional growth and advanced machine learning platform.
